Children Need Home-Schooling in Home Skills

Organisehomeguide.com Launches to Help Mothers Give Children Home-Schooling in Home Skills. Far too many children are leaving home, without the basic skills needed to look after themselves.

(PRWEB) December 29, 2008 -- Nancy Lavender is dismayed that so many of our young people today, move away from their parental homes, with no knowledge of basic cooking, doing laundry, ironing or even cleaning the bathroom!

Many still rely on frequent visits home to Mum, for meals and to get the laundry done.

Sadly, Lavender feels, that the fault lies with those parents, who have allowed this situation to develop. Children need to be taught, from an early age, that everyone has a responsibilty to themselves and to each other, to make their home a clean, calm and organised place to be.

To do this, housekeeping chores must be learned and shared and everyone in the family should be involved in menu planning and cooking.

"It seems", she adds, "that the children who leave home with these skills, have a higher level of self-confidence and will be more able to grow and develop in their newly-found independence."

So with this in mind, she has developed a simple guide, to not only organise and de-clutter the home generally, but also some simple steps on how to get the family involved.

"I am constantly amazed" Lavender said, "at how much children actually enjoy being involved in the family team and being allowed to have, not only a part in deciding on the weekly menu, but also being included in the preparing and cooking of the meals".

Describing herself as a "Full-time Family Guru", Lavender has launched this new guide to help you Organise Your Home and Family (http://www.organisehomeguide.com), so you can equip your children, not only with academic qualifications, but also with the ability to care for themselves, when they leave home to forge their own way in life.
