360-Degree Feedback Keeps Getting Easier with Automatic Responder Selection from Panoramic Feedback

360-degree feedback provider Panoramic Feedback has released a new feature that intelligently selects responders for assessment questionnaires. Instead of identifying responders one-by-one, HR and OD people can use the popular program's Automatic Responder Selection tool to make the choices for them.

Toronto, (PRWEB) November 19, 2004 -- It's simpler than ever to set up large 360-degree feedback projects, using a new tool from Panoramic Feedback. Automatic Responder Selection takes the work out of identifying responders for each person being assessed, saving time and increasing accuracy.

"Our larger clients like being able to download participant data from their Human Resources Information System," says CEO Esther Kohn-Bentley. "But this new approach makes them even more efficient, because they can select all the responders with a single click."

Automatic Responder Selection uses HRIS data to assemble the four most-requested categories of responder: peers, direct reports, the manager, and the self. If desired, additional responders can be added, or some can be removed. Panoramic Feedback sends emails automatically, inviting responders to reply to an online questionnaire.

360-Degree Feedback is Faster

"Automatic Responder Selection process does all the heavy lifting," says Kohn-Bentley. "Because takes only a few minutes of preparation, it leaves HR and OD people free to add value where they have the greatest expertise.

"In the past, if you wanted to assess a thousand managers, you might have to assign ten thousand responders, requiring hours of intense focus. And it was easy to make mistakes."

Automatic Responder Selection requires a single additional item to be added to the HRIS download, which identifies the manager of each person listed. The program uses that information to produce a list of people who fit in each of the four categories.

Because Panoramic Feedback provides 360-degree feedback to its clients from a central server, the new Automatic Responder Selection method became available instantly. Users were not required to purchase an upgrade or install software.

Summary

Panoramic Feedback upgraded its 360-degree feedback system to help HR and OD professionals save their effort for their core tasks, while an online server handles the less rewarding task of identifying questionnaire responders.
