Brace Yourself. The MemphisRap.com's Urban Music Showcase High velocity performances from up and coming Mid-South artists. Artists traveling from various parts of Missouri, Alabama, Kentucky, and Tennessee will be participating in this showcase for a chance at over $10,000 in prizes and a possible Record Deal with Sony Urban Music. Memphis, TN (PRWEB) November 21, 2004 -- On November 20th and December 4th, encounter an evening of music and entertainment and high velocity performances from up and coming Mid-South artists. The MemphisRap.com Urban Music Showcase will include aspiring talent from all walks of life. Music styles range from R&B/Neo-soul to the various sub-genres of Rap: Holy Hip-Hop, Underground Rap, and Hip-Hop. Artists traveled from various parts of Missouri, Alabama, Kentucky, and Tennessee to participate in this showcase, which makes this even more exciting. Beginning on November 20th, skilled artists will showcase their talent to guest judges in the industry of Music and Entertainment. Approximately 20 semi-finalists will be selected on November 20, 2004 to advance to the finals on December 4th where they will perform for Sony Urban Music and other special guests.
In addition to the showcases themselves, patrons of the event can enjoy live entertainment, networking and resourceful information. Live entertainment during both nights are scheduled to include top-rated local Hip Hop talent such as La Chat, rising Caucasian female rapper Chopper Girl, the Hoodoo Labs Clique and more. According to local group Ghetto Alliance, We're just thankful for the opportunity to participate in this showcase."
All confirmed special guests for the MemphisRap.com Urban Music Showcase and Sony Urban Music in celebrating and supporting the Mid-South aspiring and talent artists are Larry Nix of Nix Mastering, Melvin Jones of Gilliam Music, Nate Boogie of K97 FM, Jeff Adams of Response Records, Godilox of Static Radio, Power 99 FM, Leon Beck of Orange Mound Parade, Street Masters Magazine, Aretimus "Peppa Mouth of Da South" Williams, Warner Brothers, and many more. Freddy Hydro, the Ripp Squad DJs and Toshia Jackson of MemphisRap.com will be hosting the events. Tickets for the event are $10 for November 20th and $15 in advance/$20 at the door for December 4th.
