Two year old Pet Collar World is continuing to add more products to its already expansive catalog. Recently, the site has added a new blog to its many notable features.

In the chaos of signing the proper paperwork and ensuring that your pet is safe to take home, people often forget about purchasing a collar. On top of that, buying a reliable collar that isn't atrocious looking is a feat in its own right. Internet entrepreneur Jan Lemelin had the vision to start a website that specialized in pet collars.

In March 2006, Lemelin founded www.PetCollarWorld.com, a site that specializes in stylish high quality collars for dogs and cats. In its two year history, the site has been able to grow into an impressive retailer and it continues to add much, much more to its catalog.

"We're looking into adding some pet care and apparel onto the site," Lemelin said. "I think by expanding our product line, we'll have a complete web store."

In addition to new products, Lemelin has recently started a coordinating blog, www.PetCollarBlog.com.

"The blog covers a variety of topics from the latest trends in collars to some of factual information about dogs and cats," explained Lemelin. "I'll have some health care tips and talk about the services that are available for pets.

"The best part about this blog is that it allows people to exchange ideas with each other. It's really neat," she continued.

While many other pet retailers are scrambling to catch up to the rest of advancing internet technologies, Lemelin is moving along quickly and about five steps ahead of her competitors.

"Internet businesses are becoming an essential part of our economy and more and more people are relying on it for purchasing products that are less expensive than going to the store," Lemelin said. "But unlike other retailers, we're able to have a personable approach."
