Altegris Investments Adds to Growing Team of Alternative Investment Professionals

Adam Gallegos named as Vice President, Alternative Investment Consultant

(PRWEB) January 6, 2009 --Altegris Investments (www.altegris.com) announced today the expansion of its team of alternative investment consultants focused on the needs of independent wealth managers with the addition of Adam Gallegos, a financial services expert with over 15 years of experience in the industry. "Independent broker representatives face increasing pressure to find and secure access to quality alternative investments for their clients, especially during these increasingly difficult times in the financial markets," says Jon Sundt, President of Altegris Investments. Gallegos will be responsible for business development of the broker/dealer channel in the Western U.S. region, providing product education and sales support for the Altegris platform of alternative investments. He will be supported internally by Eric Nielsen, Associate Vice President, who brings over eight years of asset management experience and most recently served as an Investment Consultant at Fidelity Investments. Gallegos joins Altegris from Kensington Investment Group, where he was responsible for business development and promotion of Kensington's investment products, as well as overseeing marketing and wholesaling efforts in the Western U.S. regions. Prior to joining Kensington, Gallegos was the Director of Business Development at Getrelevant.com, an internet marketing firm. Mr. Gallegos began his career in financial services at Barclays Global Investors.

Along with his 15 years of financial services experience, including analyst training with J.P. Morgan Chase, Gallegos has also been involved in entrepreneurial endeavors in the golf industry. Gallegos received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from California State University, Sacramento, in 1992.
