The private view of ICONS : The Jack Cardiff Collection took place at The Royal College of Art

(PRWEB) November 28, 2004 -- The private view of ICONS : The Jack Cardiff Collection took place on Wednesday, 10th November at The Royal College of Art and brought together friends, family and supporters from the world of film and television. Jack Cardiff, his wife Nikki and son Mason were joined by: Dennis Hopper, Nick Rhodes, Meredith Ostrum, Emily Lloyd, Jess Conrad, Anthony Coster, Nicky Haslam, Ade, Eloise Anson, George Piskov, the Countess of Litchfield and the de Villeneuve sisters among others.

The exhibition was sponsored by Uniastrum Capital Ltd and guests enjoyed a decadent evening of Don Perignon champagne, Polstar vodka cocktails and truffles.

The photos which form the exhibition ICONS : The Jack Cardiff Collection

are truly breathtaking - and consist of photographs he took off set with the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren and Anita Ekberg. None of these images have been seen in an exhibition and indeed some of these images have never been seen at all before.

In 2000 Jacks career was recognised at the 73rd annual awards when he received the Academys Honorary Oscar for his contributions to the film making industry. This was soon followed by a BAFTA Fellowship.
