ARC to Award $44,000 in Cash Prizes, Art Contest Open Until December 15th

The Art Renewal Center sponsors the International ARC Salon™, the representational Fine Art Contest awarding Cash Prizes of over $44,000.00, open to all artists, entries accepted until December 15

(PRWEB) November 28, 2004

The Art Renewal Center will award more than $44,000 in cash prizes to fine representational artists in the Second International ARC Salon™ Competition, the Internet's largest art contest. In addition to the awards -- $5,000 for first place, $1,000 for second place, and $500 for third place -- in each of the five categories (Figurative (including Portraits), Landscape, Still Life, Sculpture, and Drawing ), contest entrants may also receive Purchase Awards. Last year an additional $125,000 in Purchase Awards went to winning artists whose work was added to the Fred and Sherry Ross Collection.

Shandine Tyler, wife of past Salon™ winner Timothy C. Tyler, says "Tim's ARC awards and his inclusion in the Ross Collection have helped in many aspects of his career." Other past winners report "increased recognition and praise from artistic peers," more website visits, more interest in classes and workshops offered, and new opportunities to study abroad resulting from the cash prizes. Perhaps the biggest benefit of ARC Salon™ participation is the exposure to the online audience of over five million people visiting ARC's Salon™ pages throughout the year.

Artists can still submit entries, postmarked no later than December 15, 2004. Winners will be notified by February 28th, 2005. Previous Salon entrants and winners are welcome to participate in the current Salon™.

Details of the entry procedures are available at http://www.artrenewal.org/articles/2003/Annual_Competition/competition1.asp

Artworks do not have to be available for sale to be eligible to enter the art contest and receive cash prizes. Best of Show and First Place winners in each Category will be invited to a special Awards Dinner to meet the ARC Staff, and will receive a personal tour of the Fred and Sherry Ross Collection.
