Bradley Tennis Academy's Evan Song Battles Hard In First USTA National Open Tennis Tournament : Comes Away With Three Wins, Two Loses.

(PRWEB) December 3, 2004 -- Bradley Tennis Academy student Evan Song competed in his first USTA National Open tennis tournament. The tournament was held at the Dana Hills Tennis Center in Dana Point, California -Thursday, November 25th - 29th,2004. Evan Song played in both Boys 12 Singles and Boys 12 Doubles.

SINGLES TENNIS RESULTS

After winning his first round match 6-0, 6-0 against Samuel Todd, Song then lost to the ninth seed in Round 32 6-0, 6-1.

Evan Song went on to win two more rounds in consolation, defeating Gavin Krogius 6-2,6-0 and then David Doehring 7-5, 7-5.

Evan Song was eventually defeated by the tenth seed Erik Lim 6-2,6-1.

DOUBLES TENNIS RESULTS

Teaming up with Las Vegas tennis player Diego Gutierrez, Evan Song lost in a hard fought battle against seventh seed doubles team Elortegui/Su 7-6, 7-4.

ABOUT COACH KEVIN BRADLEY

(more information at http://www.bradleytennis.com) Kevin Bradley has been influential in the Las Vegas tennis scene for the last 20 years. A native Las Vegan, Kevin grew up on the tennis courts of Las Vegas. He went on to be top ranked in the juniors, then became state singles champion in 1987 while attending Valley High School. He then became a nationally ranked player and netted a full scholarship to the nationally ranked University of San Diego.

Kevin's collegiate highlights include:

As a freshman, 49-11 overall duel match record going undefeated (19-0) at #2 doubles during regular season; the team finished 12th in the nation. Upon graduation achieved NCAA ranking of #41 in singles, 12th in doubles. He then turned pro and held an ATP world ranking for four consecutive years, achieving a win over #80 in the world and a doubles title in St. Gallen Switzerland.

Returning to Las Vegas to share his knowledge, Kevin has taught thousands of students at every age and every level. Kevin is a personal coach to many of Las Vegas' junior champions, state high school champions, and nationally ranked juniors. Under his direction, many of his students have gone on to play collegiate tennis. Three are currently playing for Division I universities, two playing on full ride scholarships.
