(PRWEB) December 8, 2004 Portabible.com - the Bible via SMS service, raising money for charity this Christmas. Need to know a specific verse while on the move? Need to know what He says on a specific subject? Need a thought for the day or a moments inspiration? Or just like to raise a little money for charity? Portabible was developed by UK startup Mixodia to test their SMS technology - it allows you to request specific verses, get a random verse from a testament, book or chapter and even search for keywords. It will also send you a thought for the day or week, and rewards you for recommending it to your friends. The service is UK only, but Mixodia are looking for partners in other countries if the service is successful. Mixodia MD, Tony Jewell, hopes that he can raise money for his favourite charity, Christian Aid, whilst beta testing his new SMS engine. Tony was founder of the worlds longest running Cybercafe (CB1 in Cambridge), Cityscape, the UK's first mainstream internet provider and most recently Planetrecruit.com the UK's largest online recruitment service. Mixodia are developing a range of social software applications for mobiles and are always looking for new and interesting applications.
