Scholle Purchases French Packaging Innovator Flextainer SA

Scholle Corporation, the leading global provider of bag-in-box packaging, has purchased the French packaging innovator Flextainer SA.

The business will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Scholle Corporation and continue to trade as Flextainer at its headquarters in Schalbach, near Strasbourg, France. Flextainer specializes in the development and manufacture of systems and accessories for liquid packaging, particularly in the wine industry. Among its many accomplishments are the first automated system to insert plastic handles in wine cartons, development of several of the worlds most popular wine box taps, and the commercialization of a revolutionary form-seal-fill technology for bag making, filling and carton loading.
