Paw Luxuries Magazine Makes Charity a Pet Priority

Paw Luxuries Magazine has created the Paws for a Cause" section, highlighting manufacturers, companies, and products that make waves for different charities involving dogs, cats, and pets in general.

(PRWEB) December 17, 2004 -- There are plenty of pets who will never receive luxuries like a diamond necklace or a decadent dog bed," says Paw Luxuries Magazine Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Lauren Halperin. But whats worse is that there are thousands of pets that will never receive more important luxuries like a family to love them and a home."

Thats why Paw Luxuries Magazine has created the Paws for a Cause" section. Highlighting manufacturers, companies, and products that make waves for different pet charities, Paws for a Cause" is intended to raise awareness to various pet charities and organizations that need help.

Paw Luxuries Magazine is also committed to showcasing how your pets standing in society is increasing. In the eyes of todays society, pets are still treated as property," Halperin says. If something happens to your pet, you cant sue for wrongdoing because pets arent considered a living thing like a human child, theyre thought of as an object you own. While there are many lobbying to change that, Im committed to letting our readers know where their pets stand currently."

The Spring 2005 issue of Paw Luxuries includes Paws for a Cause" information including how company Swanky NYC donates portions of proceeds to the Donaldson-Atwood Cancer Clinic at the Animal Medical Center in New York. The main feature for the charity section will be about the only recent ability to sue for emotional trauma over the loss of a pet.

Other features in the Spring 2005 issue will include:

•Designer Tails - in depth looks at the fascinating personalities who epitomize the Paw Luxuries lifestyle, captured in 'cameo portraits and feature profiles.

•Pampered Stories -- real stories of the lengths few will go to achieve the ultimate in pet pampering, first up: Deanna Damen, who spent over $30,000 on her dogs wedding.
