Wizzard Software Captures Market Attention With WizzScribe Wizzard Software (OTCBB: WIZD) announced today they have begun signing customer licensing agreements for WizzScribe, the newest addition to Wizzard Software's product line. A first of its kind, WizzScribe is a server-based SDK with runtime speech engines that support the offline conversion of voice audio into text, bringing large vocabulary voice recognition technology to a wide range of applications. Powered by IBM's proven and sophisticated large vocabulary voice recognition technology, WizzScribe adds mobility, flexibility and scalability to 21st century businesses. Pittsburg, PA (PRWEB) December 17, 2004 -- "We are very pleased with the initial market response to WizzScribe" said Bruce Phifer, Wizzard Software's General Manager of Business and Market Development. "Our initial customer licenses have been in the traditional dictation stronghold of healthcare transcription services, and WizzScribe certainly can provide cost efficiencies in that space. But the sheer number and variety of inquiries points to substantially larger and diverse applications for this technology."
Through the use of an offline mode of voice recognition, WizzScribe supports a wide variety of input devices and methods. It can also add speech recognition capability to industrial strength, server-based applications whenever large volumes of audio need to be converted into text for searching, data-mining, storage and documentation. One of the more powerful features of WizzScribe is its ability to be accessed through a telephone. Users can dictate information and have the dictated audio converted into text for use by an application or for web based activity such as email or retrieval.
WizzScribe provides the server based speech recognition component for state-of-the-art solutions in a growing and significant market. Its uses range from corporate customers wanting to increase mobile workforce productivity to ISPs that offer dictation services. Applications that can benefit from this offering include note keeping and information gathering for mobile professionals and blue collar workers, data-mining of various audio streams as well as more traditional uses like correspondence and documentation.
