Adjustable hand-held extruder that can be supplied with various types of extrusion dies and welding shoes for use with thermoplastic materials.

(PRWEB) December 18, 2004 -- A new line of fully adjustable hand-held plastic extruders that can be supplied with various types of extrusion dies and welding shoes for use with virtually all thermoplastic materials including PVC, HDPE and PP is being introduced by Malcom Hot Air Systems in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

Malcom's DOHLE hand-held plastics extruder feature maximum molten output temperatures of 550 degrees F which are adjustable to +/- 2 degrees F, along with adjustable preheat settings and a patented thermal blocker to shield the drive motor. Lightweight and simple to operate, they provide cold start protection, have dial selectable temperature settings, heat-up fully in three minutes and measure the actual molten plastic in real-time for consistent performance.

Featuring separate temperature adjustments for preheat and molten plastic, Malcom's DOHLE hand-held plastic extruders can output 1/4lb. to 13lb. per hour and weigh from 6lbs to 25lbs., depending upon model. Other featues include 360 degrees F welding shoes, a digital display of actual and set values, and models which can accept rod or pellets. Designed for continuous operation, they are also available for OEMs and machinery builders.
