Milan (PRWEB) December 18, 2004 -- DyLogic today announced a technology partnership with GlowPoint, Inc., (NASDAQ: GLOW) the worlds leading broadcast-quality IP-based video communications service provider. The two companies will work together to develop and deliver advanced video services that support the GlowPoint mission of making video an integral communications tool -- as easy and spontaneous as the telephone, but with the power of face-to-face communications.

As part of the partnership, GlowPoint has certified DyLogics Mirial H.323/SIP desktop videoconferencing software for use on the GlowPoint network. GlowPoint Certification is a process in which GlowPoint technical experts assess the functionality, usability, reliability, interoperability and security of hardware and software before deploying any new technology on the GlowPoint network or introducing it to customers. Using Mirial, GlowPoint customers will be able to seamlessly access all of GlowPoints advanced applications and services via their video-enabled desktop computers.

"Successfully communicating over video requires much more than simply moving packets over a network. It also requires advanced services and capabilities that make video easy and spontaneous to use, no matter where you are," said Michael Brandofino, chief technology officer of GlowPoint. "DyLogic shares our vision of providing customers with a seamless experience as they move their video communications from the conference room to the desktop and ultimately beyond the barriers of their office."

"GlowPoints relationship with DyLogic is one of a series of partnerships allowing GlowPoint to quickly and cost-effectively bring 'best-of-breed' solutions to the market," said Andrew W. Davis of Wainhouse Research. "GlowPoint continues to be successful in integrating third-party technologies into its product roadmap and creating unique, carrier-grade video solutions for its customers."

"GlowPoint is executing on a vision that is fundamentally changing the way people use and benefit from visual communications," said Cristoforo Mione, sales and marketing manager for DyLogic. "Our collaboration is already delivering innovative and useful video applications like the GlowPoint Video Call Director that will only increase in value as video usage shifts beyond the conference room."
