(PRWEB) December 18, 2004 -- A new semi-automatic overlap welding tool for all flexible thermoplastic materials that provides more consistent welds and faster operating speeds is being introduced by Malcom Hot Air Systems of Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

Malcom's Leister TriacDrive Overlap Welding Tool features a motorized hand-steered drive with knurled steel roller that allows constant nozzle position and speed to assure a consistent seam wels at speeds up to 10 FPM, depending upon the material and application. Suitable for virtually all flexible thermoplastics, it uses the Triac S hot air tool which provides adjustable temperatures from 70 degrees F to 1,400 degrees F and air speed control to 8 CFM.

Designed for vertical and horizontal use, Malcom's Leister TriacDrive Overlap Welding Tool can perform the same types of welds as concentional large overlap welding machines and weighs only 8lbs. complete. The drive unit by itself is just 5lbs. and accepts any Leister Triac Series Tool. Ideal for seam-welding roofing membranes, taprs, liners and banners, it eliminates the need for a separate heat gun and hand roller.
