Granulate Plastics Extruder for Product Development and Production

Mini extruder suitable for laboratory use, prototyping and low volume production of thermoplastic.

(PRWEB) December 18, 2004 -- A new mini extruder that is ideally suited for laboratory use, prototyping and the low volume production of thermoplastic profile extrusions is being introduced by Malcom Hot Air Systems of Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

Malcom's DOHLE Type 6000 Granulate Extruder is capable of producing extrusions from most pelletized thermoplastics in a wide range of shapes and sizes, depending upon the die design. Featuring variable speed operation, this lightweight extruder can process up to 13lbs. per hour (HDP) and is ideally suited for product development and low volume applications.

Measuring only 31.6" L x 8.5" W x 17.2" H and weighing 40lbs., Malcom's DOHLE Type 6000 Granulate Extruder has a 2.3 kW power rating, an 1,100 psi pressure rating, 22mm screw diameter and is designed for continuous operation. The temperature of the extruder material and preheated are controlled from a separate unit which incorporates cold-start protection.
