Associated Builders and Contractors Announces 2004 Excellence In Construction Winners

The Heart of America Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors announced its 2004 Excellence in Construction winners for the best construction projects and companies competing in 11 different construction categories

(PRWEB) December 22, 2004 -- The Heart of America Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors presented its 2004 Excellence in Construction Awards at ceremonies held Thursday, December 02, 2004, in Overland Park, Kansas. Over 250 contractors, architects and developers attended the awards ceremony.

The 2004 Presidents Eagle Award, the associations top award for a general contractor, was awarded to the Killian Construction Company of Springfield, Missouri, for the Hammons Field Baseball Stadium in downtown Springfield

The Pinnacle Award, the award that recognizes excellence in subcontracting, was given to Wachter Electric Company of Lenexa, Kansas, for the Cerner Corporation Data Center, Phase II, in Lees Summit, Missouri.

The annual Excellence in Construction" competition judges entries submitted by merit contractors in 11categories for general contractors and nine categories for specialty subcontractors. Entrants are members of the Heart of America Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, a national trade association for merit contractors with 23,000 construction and construction-related member firms. The Heart of America Chapter serves Missouri and Kansas.
