Harry Potter fans around the world were notified today of the pending arrival of book 6, the eagerly awaited next installment of the phenomenally popular Harry Potter series. Rowling announced on her website, http://www.jkrowling.com, that she has completed the book and delivered the manuscript.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince takes up the story of Harry Potters adventures in his sixth year at Hogwarts, the continuing battle with the sinister Voldemort and the identity of the enigmatic Half-Blood Prince. Rowling has been ruminating upon the opening chapter of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for 13 years, so fans should expect quite a story and perhaps a few surprises.

Raincoast Books, the exclusive Canadian publisher of Harry Potter, is delighted to be offering the book to Canadian fans on July 16.
