Dacris Software Releases ActiSetup 2005

Dacris Software has announced the final release of ActiSetup 2005, a setup development suite which is designed to simplify the creation of Windows Installer packages.

(PRWEB) December 31, 2004 -- ActiSetup is an advanced setup development environment for Windows Installer which allows developers and software publishers to create installation packages for their software products, with maximum ease of use and flexibility. With ActiSetup, developers can quickly create installations with a single step-by-step wizard, as well as directly edit the MSI tables for greater fine-tuning.

ActiSetup supports authoring MSI installation packages, merge modules, and patches. It also includes an updater service, so that developers can deliver patches to users of their applications reliably and efficiently. In addition, ActiSetup includes a setup bootstrapper, designed to simplify the process of installing prerequisites such as the .NET Framework.

To evaluate ActiSetup, a 14-day trial version is available for download at the Dacris Software website. The full version is priced at $249 US for a single license and $3795 US for a site license. Language packs are included with the licenses; they do not have to be purchased separately. The full version also includes free unlimited technical support as well as free patches and service packs.
