Santa Brought You a CD: Label Gives Away Thousands of CDs

Record label utilizes guerrilla music marketing strageties.

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) January 5, 2005

Record label based out of Philadelphia, Bliss Entertainment, gave out thousands of CDs for free during this holiday season. The CDs were available in selected clubs and bars across the country. Russ Castella featuring Karen Vazquez’ “Angel Eyes” CD was being promoted.

“It’s guerrilla music marketing at its best,” says Jerry Stoddard, a club owner of various clubs in Seattle, WA region, “Bliss knows what it’s doing and everyone ends up happy. Club owners love the idea of giving stuff out to their crowd, the crowds love getting freebies, and the label gets their artists known. Plain simple.”

The label earlier announced that their release “Angel Eyes” has reached a 300,000 mark in downloads in November. Today it is close to 500,000 and still keeping its place in the TOP 5 as most downloaded on the net according to mp3search.com website.

“We are taking small steps to continue building our profile and gaining the demand,” stated Russ Castella, 22, who is also the president of Bliss Entertainment. “Building a successful profile requires hundreds and hundreds of thousand dollars. We are just trying to utilize all the inexpensive ways of marketing to the fullest extent and prepare for the album releases.”
