Detroit, MI (PRWEB) January 6, 2005 -- Denise Stinson is founder and Publisher of Walk Worthy Press and an Editor at Large at Warner Books.

A journalist for nearly 15 years she was a staff writer at several major newspapers and Life Magazine before turning her attention to book publishing in 1991 establishing the Stinson Literary Agency.

As a literary agent, she has represented such clients as, J. California Cooper, Pearl Cleage, Queen Latifah, Omar Tyree, CeCe Winans, and TD. Jakes.

In 1998 three of the books she agented occupied top 10 positions on the New York Times bestseller list.

Her latest venture, as a publisher, began in 1997 when she established Walk Worthy Press, a Christian publishing company. In 2000, Walk Worthy became an imprint of Warner Books under a joint publishing venture.

Since that time, three Walk Worthy Press hardcover books, Church Folk, Second Sunday, and Showing Mary reached the #1 spots on the Essence Bestseller list.

She is also founder of Glory Girls Reading Groups for African American Women Who Love God and Like to Read. It is the largest African American book club in the country.

A 2002 graduate of the Word of Faith Bible Training Center in Southfield, Michigan and an ordained minister, she lives in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
