TCA Cricket for Cause - Fundraiser for Tsunami Victims (Proceeds Donated to UNICEF)

The entire TCA community was moved by the carnage of recent tsunami in South-East Asia and plans to organize a fundraiser to help victims of the disaster by donating 100% of the proceeds to UNICEF.

Fremont, CA (PRWEB) January 9, 2005 -- Tennisball Cricket Association (TCA), on the Internet at http://www.tennisballcricket.org, announced today that it will donate $1500 towards the relief efforts of Tsunami Victims. TCA Board of Directors and entire cricket community are also contributing to donations. TCA plans to organize Cricket for a Cause" a fundraiser.

"The disaster is more visible in our Cricket Community since lot of our members are from the Tsunami affected areas, especially India and Sri Lanka with strong ties in the region." says, Srinivas Haridas, Director on the Board and lead of the fundraising event.

The event will be fun and cricket games of six-a-side will be played over the weekend of January 15 and 16 2005. It is open to public participation. TCA will donate 100% of the proceeds from this event to UNICEF. A small donation of $20 will be charged per participant. Drop in donations are also welcome.
