6th Annual Girls and Women in Sports Clinic Now Accepting Registrations

1/2 day clinic promoting the benefits of physical fitness and healthy lifestyles for girls ages 8-13.

Virginia Amateur Sports, Inc. (VAS) announced today that registration is now available for the 2005 Girls and Women in Sports Day Clinic. The clinic, which is open to females between the ages of 8 – 13, is scheduled for Saturday, February 12 at Ferrum College, Hollins University, Randolph Macon Woman’s College, Roanoke College and Sweet Briar College.

The following workshops will be offered:

Ferrum College: Dance, Open Swim, Tennis and Volleyball

Hollins University: Basketball, Lacrosse, Open Swim and Self Defense

Randolph Macon: Basketball, Kick Boxing, Nutrition, Open Swim and Weight Training

Roanoke College: Field Hockey, Self Defense, Tennis and Volleyball

Sweet Briar College: Fencing, Soccer, Injury Management, Swimming and Weight Training
