Multi-instrumentalist Mary Wiles Releases Inspirational Rock and Country CD Multi-instrumentalist and award winning songwriter and vocalist Mary Wiles, who has been hailed by the press as one of the Pacific Northwests hottest attractions on the country music scene, has released "Why Not Take a Chance" on the Bluetail Records label, which is nationally distributed by Faithworks. Seattle, WA (PRWEB) January 13, 2005 -- This is Wiles second CD, and she hits us hard with a unique gospel rock and country album. Head and shoulders above most artists signed these days, Wiles plays seven instruments on the album and wrote all the songs, two of which have already won songwriting awards. Wiles, who has won multiple songwriting, vocal, and performance competitions from the likes of Billboard, writes with touching sincerity about reaching ones fullest potential in life and faith. Playing harmonica, banjo, mandolin, violin, keyboards, slide, and guitars, Wiles delivers clear expressive vocals with a wide vocal range. The CD contains a mix of styles including rock, pop, gospel and country.
Recorded in Seattle, Wiles hometown, and mixed in Nashville, this album that took four years to create is quite a show of talent. Sharon Wooton of the Everett Herald stated, "Dont count Wiles out of the running for a hit record". Wiles, who has opened for Loretta Lynn, Tracy Byrd, and the 60s hit group "The Association", has also performed at international events such as the Goodwill Games. Songs from the CD can be heard at MaryWiles.com. It can be purchased at local Christian bookstores and at MaryWiles.com.
