Just Between Girlfriends Helping With Biggest New Year's Resolution. Organization To Hold "Let's Get Pumped Up 2005" Healthy Heart Event. (PRWEB) January 14, 2005 -- In keeping with everyone's biggest New Year's resolution, the Just Between Girlfriends organization (JBG) will sponsor "Let's Get Pumped Up 2005," as part of their Healthy Heart Series. Taking place on Wednesday, February 2nd from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at the Hasbrouck Heights Holiday Inn (Banquet Room), 283 Rt. 17 South, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, this event promises to be a healthy, vibrant, fun-filled evening. 150 multicultural women dressed in red (ages 18-50) will line dance, exercise with local deejay Mojo, and be regaled during their cooldown by r&b vocalist Carlton Blount.
The proceeds from this event will go to raise funds for the American Heart Association's "Go Red For Women" campaign, to fight heart disease. An AHA representative will open the evening's activities, followed by a local cardiologist's presentation. The active evening will culminate with goody bags, giveaways and a healthy snack.
Heart disease is the number one killer among women, especially African-Americans and Latinos. This JBG event will focus on the importance of exercise and living a healthier lifestyle. It will be a kick-off for the AHA's national "Go Red For Women" campaign, which inititates across the country on February 4th, with their request that women everywhere in the USA wear red clothing that day, to get the word out about heart disease.
Just Between Girlfriends specializes in memorable events for women, providing a forum for women to network, bond, rekindle friendships and escape the day-to-day demands of their hectic lives. Created and run by noted journalist, author and professor Chrisena Coleman in 1998, the organization has raised money throughout the years for numerous national charities.
This "Let's Get Pumped Up 2005" Healthy Heart Series will continue throughout the year, in various locales. JBG will also participate in the AHA's local New Jersey walk-a-thon.
