Highland Council Install Five More Ipoint Touchscreen Multimedia Tourist Information Units in Inverness

In partnership with Highland Council, another five new prominent locations throughout Inverness are now host to Ipoint touchscreens. Ipoint touchscreens are located across the Scottish Highlands, and are one of the largest new-media advertising networks in the UK.

Five more touchscreens were installed yesterday in association with Inverness City Partnership, the council body working hard to promote Inverness to a wide audience.

A new touchscreen has been installed in the refurbished Inverness Bus Station, another of the Inverness hot-spots for tourists and locals alike. There is already an Ipoint touchscreen in Inverness Railway Station.

One of the first locations tourists head to in the Highlands is the Inverness Museum. The new touchscreen has been installed in their brand new interactive hands on Discovery Centre situated on the ground floor. Over 90,000 people pass through the museum each year.

The Eastgate Shopping Centre now has an Ipoint touchscreen, located in the well-known department store Debenhams. The shopping centre is the premiere retail location in the Highlands, and attracts a huge number of visitors each year.

Inverness is of course already host to a number of Ipoint touchscreens, in the Inverness Floral Hall, Fairways Leisure Centre and the railway station. Ipoint terminals are located all across the Highlands, from the top of the Isle of Skye, to the East of Moray, in castles, tourist information centres and busy tourist attractions.
