Independent Rap Label, Cemetery Blind, Launches in South Florida

Cemetery Blind Entertainment is the latest to join the ranks of independent record labels. Although they are looking to be picked up by a major record company, they have put together an impressive package of artists, albums, mixtapes, and poets that have a respect for the roots of hip-hop.

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (PRWEB) January 15, 2005 -- Driven by a passion for hip hop music and fueled by a desire to speak to the urban community, a band of brothers have formed Cemetery Blind Entertainment to independently produce, market and distribute their music. Equipped with streetwise management and a pioneering spirit, the label hopes to push back the wave of commercialism that threatens to wash over the urban art form. Cemetery Blind believes that an artist can maintain the realism and purity of his craft by opening the window of America to the struggles and trials of todays urban youth, yet paint a masterful picture of rhymes and music that the fans can groove to. Without the budget and promotional power of the major record companies, these young men are still shopping for a major label deal or distribution partner.

Born out of the impoverished communities of Prichard, AL; these young entrepreneurs are not strangers to hard times and hustle. They have sold CDs from the trunk of their cars. They have haggled retailers over consignment agreements. Radio music directors have given them the hard-line. Undaunted, they have launched a website, www.cemeteryblind.com, and negotiated online distribution through Real Networks/Rhapsody. They have built a dynamic, fun website with free music downloads, articles, commentary, and artists bios. Wondering what Cemetery Blind means? The website explains that, too.

T-Blaze, the flagship artist of the label, personifies the zeal and beliefs of its founders. T-Blaze a.k.a. Z-ONE is a dynamic new artist coming out of Prichard, Alabama and representing for his adopted home of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Armed with gritty, hard-hitting tales of life and death; a young man steps out of the South with a determination to leave his mark in the Hip-Hop industry. T-Blaze has put together a landmark underground album that was totally produced, mixed, and arranged in-house by Cemetery Blind. The new LP, titled Underground...And Lovin It, vividly details the life of being a young black youth in todays America.
