Advertising Balloons Hit the Dunes

Arizona Balloon Company sees helium balloon sales rise because of California Dunes.

(PRWEB) January 16, 2005 -- Whats that light in the sky out over the Dunes? Airplane? Helicopter? UFO? No, Its an advertising balloon being used as a marker. Thousands of people head to the dunes at Glamis outside of Yuma, Arizona in the California desert. Miles upon miles of sand dunes a person could easily get lost.

Imaginative, innovative people are starting to use giant advertising balloons and giant advertising blimps as markers to be able to find their campsites. Campsites come in many varieties from the seats of a pick-up truck to million dollar motor homes. Each camper faces the same problem; how the heck do I find my way back to my camping spot? If you spend a couple of hours on your four-wheeler you could be miles from where you pitched camp. One dune can begin to look like another. Advertising balloons have been a great help to the duners.

It started with one or two giant advertising balloons and giant advertising blimps. Now it seems to be an unspoken contest for the most unusual color or combination of giant advertising balloons. Johnny Mulder with Arizona Balloon Company, www.arizonaballoon.com, says that the market has really taken off. Advertising balloons were always seen at auto dealers and other retailers but now the Duners of Glamis are on the top of the marquee. Arizona Balloon Company, www.arizonaballoon.com, has come out with some new Glamis Designs" to help in the unspoken competition. You can see these new designs at www.arizonaballoon.com.

Next time youre driving past the dunes on Interstate 10 that glow you see in the distance is probably not a UFO but a giant advertising balloon. Or is it?
