POE30-24 Power Over Etheernet Amplifier Saves Time and Money When Installing Wireless Local Area Networks

Lehi, UT (PRWEB) January 20, 2005 -- Renasis Engineered Products (Renasis) announced today the POE30-24. The POE30-24 is a unique approach to the RF Power Amplifier. The unit is designed to function as an amplifier as well as transferring data over the same CAT-5 line that carries its power. This flexibility allows the POE30-24 to power not only itself, but a POE-capable access point as well (802.3af or Cisco). The benefits of this feature are clear, as installation time and labor are greatly reduced by eliminating the need for an additional DC injector and coax cable, as well as a nearby power source.

The POE30-24 enhances coverage and stabilizes the transmitted data rate in applications such as WLAN 802.11g & b+g, WLAN 802.11b & b+, DSSS on the ISM Band and Bluetooth. In these applications, the POE30-24 produces a continuous RF output power of 1000mW (+30 dBm) under the 802.11b spectral mask.

This Power-Over-Ethernet device is designed to be installed indoors, or in a weather-resistant enclosure, and is built with an extremely durable cast aluminum housing to provide strong protection.
