Midwest Company is Changing Lives

Tim Newman, a Kansas City Missouri native develops speed training equipment that changes professional athletes lives. This is a story of Rich Gannon's (OAK Raider QB) turn around in the NFL.

Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) January 22, 2005 -- Tim Newman, Cameron, MO, a 1985 graduate of Lawson High School (located 30 miles north of Kansas City), needed to increase his speed for high school football and track. Not being able to afford the expensive tools available at that time, he designed and produced his own training apparatus and program, calling it the Speedster Training System. He improved his 40 yard dash time, his agility, and his overall quickness, becoming the Varsity QB for his JR & SR years in high school, earning many awards and honors. Tim started his college football career at Central Missouri State University where he helped the Mules win their first Conference title in over 60 years.

Transferring to Missouri Valley College in 1988, Tim was able to convince his teammates to use his training system. The year he graduated, 1989, the Vikings were National playoffs contenders. That same year Tim started a company called Greater Performance Inc. (GPI-USA) which has been changing the lives of athletes ever since. In the Mid 90's Dave Redding (Redman), the Strength and Conditioning coach for the Kansas City Chiefs, started using the Speedster Training System with the Chiefs. Chiefs then Quarterback, Rich Gannon, adapted to it quickly. By the next season, Gannon noticed a difference in his speed and quickness. NFL fans did as well as Gannon was named to the Pro Bowl for 4 straight years (2000 thru 2003), winning MVP honors the last two years. In 2002 Tim received a phone call from Rich Gannon, currently the Quarterback for the Oakland Raiders. Rich wanted him to know that he believed the Speedster Training System had much to do with his success. Gannon states, "If you need to increase your speed and quickness, then you need the Speedster Training System - it works for me".

Today GPI-USA has many more products available through their website with many more stories like Rich Gannon's. All of GPI's equipment is designed and manufactured here in the US and is distributed throughout the world.
