New Forum Helps People Beat Cancer - World Cancer Day 4 February A young Australian woman is on a crusade to help people from all around the world find a new way of looking at cancer through an innovative website. (PRWEB) January 23, 2005 -- Beat-Cancer.Com will be launched to mark World Cancer Day on February 4th. The site is free online support network that goes beyond a normal website. People from all around the world will use the site to help, support inspire each other, as well as access resources which improve their body, mind and spirit.
I started Beat-Cancer.Com because of my mum, Joyce, who had cancer for fourteen years," Sarah Friendship said.
For much of that time she didnt know where to turn to get support. It was through thinking positively and drawing on the support and encouragement of people she met along the way that she lived so much longer than expected".
Her journey made me aware that there are many people who have to walk the journey by themselves. Cancer touches just about everyone, and I know from personal experience that there are a lot of sufferers and their family and friends out there feeling fearful and alone".
So Im on a mission to help others walk their journey in an empowering and positive way. My mum started this journey, and I want to help her finish it".
www.Beat-Cancer.com features the eBook 'Balloons and Bindi Eyes written by Joyce Hockin before her death. An uplifting and positive take on her journey with cancer, it will sell for US $1.00, with proceeds going to various charities.
I'd love your help in getting the word out there to coincide with World Cancer Day on Feb 4th. Please contact me directly on 0403 053 303 or email sarah@speakeasycomms.com.
