Thirty-four colleges to improve efficiencies and reduce costs with on demand solution

Frederick, MD (Vocus) February 11, 2008 -- Regent Education (www.regenteducation.com), the leading provider of financial aid management (www.regenteducation.com) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for higher education institutions, today announced that Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) has gone live with Regent Enterprise (www.regenteducation.com).

Consisting of 34 community and technical colleges, SBCTC's vision is to build strong communities, individuals, and families, and to achieve greater global competitiveness and prosperity for the state of Washington and its economy by raising the knowledge and skills of the state's residents. "Regent worked diligently with our project team to successfully implement this large scale enterprise deployment on a fast track," said Michael Scroggins, SBCTC's Deputy Executive Director of Information Technology. "Regent is a good partner, and this is a great success."

Regent's enterprise solution will enable the 34 Washington State community and technical colleges to automate and manage their complete financial aid business processes, administration, disbursement, packaging, compliance, tracking, communications, verification, imaging, and all student financial aid self-service activities. Regent Enterprise's automation enables the following:

•    Cost efficiencies through standardization and workforce optimization.

•    Transparency across an entire enterprise.

•    Configurability over customization for a high level of flexibility.

"Washington State's decision to implement Regent Enterprise in its 34 community and technical colleges further validates Regent's value as the best of breed financial aid solution," said Mike Ratti, Regent's CEO. "SBCTC is a leading technology innovator among state systems, and we are looking forward to a very successful partnership."

Regent Enterprise provides SBCTC with an on demand service that enables its 34 institutions to realize a high return on investment and economics of scale. The automation enabled by Regent Enterprise will help the Washington schools to decrease the time required to process, distribute, track, and verify award letters, as well as provide accountability for tasks.
