Work at Home Moms Set Out to Choose an MVP The online community of work at home mothers honors its most inspirational role models in the 1st Annual WAHM Community MVP contest (PRWEB) January 26, 2005 -- New moms come online every week and ask the question "How can I make money from home?" Sadly, home business scam artists are just waiting to answer their questions.
On a more positive note, there are veteran work at home Moms who reach out to share good information and help newcomers avoid losing their money to the scammers and find real income opportunities. It is this willingness to help others that has created a tight knit community of moms in business on the internet.
Work at Home Moms Talk Radio - http://www.wahmtalkradio.com - launched a special promotion in December of 2004. Radio show host Kelly McCausey asked her listeners to nominate the one person who they felt had contributed the most to their success. Over 300 replied and 15 women were officially nominated.
The Nominees List: Audrey Korshoff of nogginworks.com Kristi Sponheim of wahmpro.com Sue Seward of eCommerceHomeBiz.com Nicole Dean of ShowMomTheMoney.com Lynn Terry of SelfStartersWeeklyTips.com Brandy Latshaw of MelodysMommy.com Jennifer Dugan of DugansTravels.com Lynn Phelps of NWAHMA.com Janet Jakubek of WAHParent.com Tara Crooks of AdvertisingMoms.com Karyn Fagan of TeamWomen.com JoJo Tabares of ArtofEloquence.com Alice Seba of InternetBasedMoms.com Nell Taliercio of MommysPlace.net Shelly Terrell of PrimMart.com.
On January first, voting opened and special testimonial lines were created for each nominee. Voters can call in their kudos and personal stories.
Voting will continue through February 15th and the nominee with the most votes overall will be walking away with an award package worth more than $2500.00. Prizes have been provided by the several well known internet marketers and by other work at home Moms.
Nominee Nicole Dean says "When I started getting emails from friends saying they nominated me, I went over to see what the award was about.
Once I saw the amazing women that had already been nominated, I was very proud to be in such a great circle of women."
"I am honored to be one of the finalists for the WAHM MVP Contest. Knowing that I have helped someone achieve their goals is the best pay I'll ever earn." said Tara Crooks of Advertising Moms.
McCausey says, "Most of the nominees I have had the chance to speak with are so honored just to be nominated. It means a lot to them to know that others appreciate them. For them, winning doesn't seem important, but someone will win and I can't wait to see who it is."
