CB Technologies Acquires Software from CatBecca.com Software which has been under development by CatBecca.com over the past 3 years was acquired by sister company CB Technologies CBTechLive.com. CBTechlive.com will add another $2million to develop and market it in 2005. (PRWEB) January 28, 2005 -- CatBecca.com Inc., a live/online auction house in Columbia City, Indiana, announced today that CB Technologies (CBtechlive.com) has acquired the rights to all CatBecca.coms software, systems and uplink van technology for a non-disclosed sum. CBtechlive.com will put an additional $2,000,000 in the purchased software packages, and roll out improved versions in early 2005 to other auctioneers, power sellers, and retailers. Catbecca.com continues to be supported by CBTechlive.com, and will remain in the forefront of live/online auctions.
The exact nature of the software involved was not disclosed to the press, but it will undoubtedly improve the live auction experience for online bidders. The famous uplink van -- the only one of its kind in the live auction business -- has already snagged several high-end estates from the big auction houses, and may be franchised later in 2005. Other releases of software planned for 2005 are not being disclosed publicly.
Both CatBecca.com and CBtechlive.com are employee & family owned sister companies which have been developing ways to cater to millions of online bidders by introducing them to live auctions. The website www.catbecca.com has hits already in excess of six million per month! A typical live auction by CatBecca.com sells to 95% of live bidders through ebayLiveauctions.com and through internal CatBecca.com software systems. The normal average for live auction houses is 20%, sold to online bidders. Since the future of live auctions will require participation of greater numbers of online bidders, CatBecca and CBTechLive.com are banking that their formula and software will capture this emerging marketplace with the right stuff."
