"Google AdSense Fraud Discovered" Google has come up with one of the most valuable marketing tools known to Man, but unfortunately we have detected an unscrupulous AdSense user who is breaking the rules and his method is as ironic as it is funny. (PRWEB) January 29, 2005 -- Webmasters around the world know the value Google attributes to links pointing to their websites. Google will attribute a higher PR ( page rank ) and search position based on these links, and of couse other criteria as well, not important to mention at this moment. What we have discovered by scanning the links of one of our competitors, is that the fraudulent AdSense client has over 20,000 links pointing to http://www.algarve.org/!
The funny or maybe not so funny fact is that a very high percentage of these links are coming from sub domains of this site http://www.pt.vu/, which has a free subdomain redirecting service. Once you have registered on this web site you may create a sub domain of http://www.pt.vu/ and redirect it to any web site you desire. We created sub domain http://www.algarve-org.pt.vu/ and pointed it to http://www.algarve.org/ we noticed that something was missing, in comparison with the 20.000 plus link pages...we will let you know in a minute, lets just say for now that the process is not on automatic. http://www.algarve.org/ is a wonderful web site and in our opinion Google can not be blamed for allowing this website to post AdSense content ads. We do not know at this time if http://www.algarve.org/ is involved in the fraud as they sell advertisement space on there website and it is possible that one of there customers is to blame.
The fraud issue in this matter is evident, someone at http://www.pt.vu/ manually creates sub domains which have a frame on the right hand side of the scheme that displays AdSense advertisements from http://www.algarve.org/ on over 20.000 websites. In our humble opinion, the content on most of these web sites does not meet Google criteria.
We are also convinced that advertisers will not be getting their moneys worth by having there ads displayed on these web sites as they are not Algarve related. Rui Reis and Hilton Santos will be releasing new web sites this year at http://www.tecnoalfa.com/ and http://www.algarve-portugal.org.uk/ Join us on this mission to promote the Algarve region in Portugal.
If you need to rent a car once you visit the Algarve go to http://www.polorentacar.com/ or for transfer service from Faro airport visit http://www.polotur.com/. Thank you in advance!
P.S. We think that someone at http://www.pt.vu/ should start running as Google will not be happy about this at all...
