AudioCommander 3.0 Released - Batch Convert 20+ Audio Formats with Powerful Command-Line and Interface Support

AudioCommander provides powerful batch conversion of CD, WAV, MP3, WMA, OGG, MP2, AIFF, AU, VOX, RAW, PCM, GSM, ADPCM, A-LAW, u-LAW, g72x, DSP, MPC, or MP+ with highly configurable command-line support or easy-to-use interface, and settings for complete output control.

(PRWEB) February 1, 2005 -- Mystik Media has released AudioCommander v. 3.0, a powerful audio converter for Windows that can easily process more than 20 audio formats using a user-friendly interface or comprehensive command-line operation. Unlike consumer applications that are designed for music collectors, AudioCommander is designed mainly as a business solution. The program lets businesses take sales presentations, speeches, files uploaded to a web server, and a full range of other audio possibilities, and convert them one at a time or an entire batch into the format needed.

AudioCommander converts from CD, WAV, MP3, WMA, OGG, MP2, AIFF, AU, VOX, RAW, GSM, DSP, ADPCM, A-LAW, u-LAW, g726, g721, g723, MPC, MP+, and more, to MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, MP2, ADPCM, A-LAW, u-LAW, DSP, GSM, or VOX formats.

It's easy to change the compression for supported formats. For example, you can compress a 320 kbps MP3 to 128 kbps for use in a hardware device that requires a specific setting, or does not support the higher bitrates. The comprehensive range of supported formats makes the software very flexible, and provides a complete solution for conversion of most any audio file. AudioCommander offers an extensive array of settings and command-line switches for complete control over how the software functions.

AudioCommander provides a comprehensive range of frequencies and bitrates. When disk space is an issue, such as for portable audio players, select a lower bitrate to conserve space. Otherwise, when audio quality is a must, select one of the higher settings. Constant Bitrate (CBR) options are available for the best compatibility with both hardware and software MP3 players, and Variable Bitrate (VBR) is also provided for further optimized file sizes.

All conversions are performed directly from the source format to the output format, which increases overall conversion speed and eliminates the possibility of potential quality loss. The ability to automatically transfer audio tags from the source format to the conversion output files is also available.

The software's interface and command-line support are very easy to use, without sacrificing the powerful functionality. Conversions can be performed on an entire folder of files. Wildcards and comma delimited filenames are also supported. Even multiple paths can be separated by a comma, or any combination of filename(s), paths, and wildcards.

Additional built-in options include: error logging, the ability to automatically use the source file's path for conversion output, overwriting of existing files or overwrite protection by appending a unique numeric value to the end of the base filename for existing files, deletion of source files after successful conversion, and FreeDB support when ripping from CD.

Instead of running a consumer-oriented music program each time you need to make a routine audio file conversion, you can set up your job in a batch file or scheduled task and have AudioCommander handle the job quickly and efficiently. Of course, even though AudioCommander is primarily designed as a business application, it can just as well be used by consumers. AudioCommander offers very extensive format support and conversion possibilities not available in other software. Therefore, if you have an audio conversion need, and cannot find an application for it, AudioCommander may be just the solution needed.

Whether you're a business person who needs to handle audio conversions effeciently, or a music lover who has an unusual data conversion need that can't be met by low-powered consumer audio software, AudioCommander has the tools that you need.

AudioCommander v. 3.0 costs $64.95(US), runs under Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP/2003, and may be purchased securely online at http://www.mystikmedia.com/.
