The Carbon Project has announced it is providing a free development toolkit, CarbonTools 2, which will allow thousands of software developers to use Microsoft .NET technology to easily develop interoperable geospatial solutions and access hundreds of online geospatial resources.

CarbonTools 2 provides an easy way to interact with any OGC Web Map Service (WMS) or Web Feature Service (WFS) and easily handles Geography Markup Language (GML), OGCs XML encoding for geospatial information.
