King of Shaves Announces Title Sponsorship Deal with Kristan Bromley, Bob Skeleton King And Medal Contender

From February 1st, 2005 King of Shaves will be the title sponsor of Kristan Bromley, Britain's number one Bob Skeleton slider and contender for a medal at the February 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy.

32 year old Kristan Bromley from Bath is the current World Cup and European Bob Skeleton Champion, winning five out of the seven World Cup events in 2004. He is favourite to win a British medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. This would be one of only six Gold medals ever won by Britain in the winter Olympics, which began in 1924.

The King of Shaves sponsorship deal will enable Kristan to develop his Skeleton bobsleigh to its full potential. Few people would actually choose to throw their body down an icy slope at 90 mph, but Dr Kristan Bromley is making a successful career out of it. Not only is he a world-class athlete, he also has a PhD and runs his own company providing advice and design expertise on cutting edge blade technology, Ice Sport Technology with its focus on the British Bob Skeleton Association.

Kristan Bromley has won several engineering and research awards including the Millennium Products Design Award from the Millennium Products Design Council. Using his design skills and bobsleigh experience Kristan Bromley is working with King of Shaves on their continuing investigation into what makes a truly great shave from a hardware (razor) perspective.
