More Wireless Payment Options Added to Aircharge® Lineup

Aircharge® and Infinite Peripherals announce the release of a new printer with credit card reader for wireless payment processing using the pa1mOne Treo 600 Smartphone.

(PRWEB) February 4, 2005 -- Aircharge J2ME software for wireless payment processing is now available for the Treo 600 with the PP-55MS PDA printer from Infinite Peripherals. The Treo 600 slides into the printer/credit card reader and works with the hardware to become a mobile credit card processing machine. Aircharge® customers now have the ability to use CDMA networks and an additional GSM/GPRS network to accept payments at trade shows, flea markets, and other types of outdoor events where access to standard phone lines is limited, expensive, or simply not available.

The software for payment processing from Aircharge® is loaded onto the phone via the standard Palm HotSync operation or it can now also be downloaded Over-the-Air. The complete system is compatible with the nine largest credit card processing systems in the US. The pa1mOne Treo 600 is currently available from four national wireless carriers in the United States.
