TMC Entertainment Launches New Comedy Division - Completes Multiple Pilots - Announces Talent Deals

Emmy Award-winning producer Drew S. Levins TMC Entertainment announced today the launch of its Comedy Division, headlined by multiple new pilots, as well as both scripted and unscripted projects in development with top network writers.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 5, 2005 -- Emmy Award-winning producer Drew S. Levins TMC Entertainment announced today the launch of its Comedy Division, headlined by multiple new pilots, as well as both scripted and unscripted projects in development with top network writers.

Comedy is the great unifier, and it bridges all formats from reality-based to scripted television," said Levin. In launching our new 'Laughs Division, we have assembled a talented pool of network and feature writers to develop our unique new comedy series," he added.

TMC Entertainment has completed its pilot for Clipped, a hilarious new hidden-camera series, combining the most outrageous moments in film and TV, followed by a hidden-camera parody that can only be described as 'comedy on steroids, " said Levin.

We have taken the popular hidden-camera format to the next level with a troupe of truly uninhibited comedians, as we recreate with real, unsuspecting people the funniest, most memorable moments from feature films, commercials and sitcoms. An obvious example would be the 'Ill have whatever she had scene from 'When Harry Met Sally, " explained Levin.

TMC Entertainment has also recently completed production of the pilot for Unreal TV!, an hysterical weekly half-hour series using real-life news clips entwined with comedy sketches performed by some of todays top young performers. The series is headlined by Gareth Reynolds and Evan Mann, two rising stars represented by Power Entertainment. TMC has access to more than 55,000 clips, and the company will soon begin network pitches.

Additionally, TMC Entertainment has written and is developing two new sitcoms. The first, Pale by Comparison, is a modern-day Odd Couple featuring two USC Drama grads, unlikely roommates who find themselves living a surprising reality in an off-campus apartment in South Central LA, instead of making it as big time stars" in Hollywood.

The second, The Greys, which Levin describes as Hogans Heroes meets Area 51," revolves around five young aliens who have been captured" by US forces but who easily move in and out of captivity" to enjoy the night life in Las Vegas and LA. The company is working with Power Entertainment in packaging writers for both series and will present the projects to Power Entertainments network partner, Touchstone TV, in January.

TMC Entertainment was founded in 2001 by Emmy Award-winning producer Drew S. Levin and is currently in production and co-production on a full spectrum of television projects, including scripted and unscripted comedy and reality-based and documentary series.

Walking the Bible and Abraham, two three-hour mini-series produced by TMC Entertainment, based on the best-selling books of the same names written by award-winning author Bruce Feiler, are scheduled to air on the PBS Network during primetime in the Fall of 2005.

Drew S. Levin is a 25-year entertainment-industry veteran with credits ranging from Thats Incredible! and Totally Hidden Video to Top of the Pops. As a pioneer in reality television, Levins projects have appeared on the major broadcast and cable networks, including CBS, ABC, MTV, UPN, PBS, BBC and the Discovery Channel. www.walkingthebibletv.com and www.tmcent.tv
