Native Wildflowers Poster Premiers

Native Wildflowers features 28 natives of eastern and midwestern North America painted by award winning artist John Pitcher. Twenty-sixth in series of bioregional natural history posters from Good Nature Publishing Co.

(PRWEB) February 5, 2005 -- Bring a Small Yellow Lady's Slipper in from the cold. Give a home to a Virginia Cowslip, a Wild Geranium and a Birdfoot Violet. Plant a bloom of wildflowers on your wall and call it a winter.

Good Nature Publishing is proud to present the first edition Native Wildflowers poster-- a full color acrylic painting by John Pitcher, a top American nature artist from Vermont.

The Native Wildflowers poster features a centerpiece of 28 vibrant flowers native to the Eastern half of the U.S. The native flora ranges from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachussetts, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvannia, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri. A dozen of the species painted can be found across North America.

The poster's edge is a running border with close ups of orchids and other species.

A list of genus names is included-- common and botanical, along with a habitat code-- so you can learn a thing or two

while dreaming about hiking season and picnics.

Good Nature's poster design is perfect for education and outreach efforts about native plants for environmental educators, master gardeners, nurseries, and forestry

agencies.

The beauty of his multi-purpose artwork is that it can be enjoyed from the distance, or up close, as a study of the intimate details of each wildflower.

The Native Wildflowers joins Eastern Native Conifers and Eastern Native Deciduous Trees, Hummingbird Garden and Garden Herbs posters.
