While painting the spirits of children for her series entitled: Ancestors & Ghosts Ms. Deon felt moved by the innocent spirits of children who met their tragic death from the tsunami on Dec. 26th.

For the artist this painting called: The Beatifics (Little Angels) will always be associated with those unfortunate innocents.
