Film Festival Offers Hope and Grant Support to Film Makers

Film Maker Awarded First CCIFF Festival Grant Announces First Feature Film

Emerging film director, writer and producer, Danny LeGare has signed on to write, direct and produce his first feature film through Suzanne DeLaurentiis Productions and the Cinema City International Film Festival. LeGare is the first recipient of a grant from the Cinema City International Film Festival. "Awards are provided to artists whose work shows promise, skill and creativity and meets the high standards I put into filmmaking," said Suzanne DeLaurentiis, co-executive producer of the film New Hope Manor. DeLaurentiis, also a 30-year veteran and award winning filmmaker has had the opportunity to work with actors such as Dennis Hopper, Leslie Anne Warren, Tommie Lee, Sally Kirkland and renowned directors and producers.    LeGare has acted in, produced and written several short films before embarking upon this feature project. DeLaurentiis and LeGare co-wrote New Hope Manor, a suspense thriller about troubled girls getting their lives together, forced to follow rules. A series of threatening notes provides a cognitive state of uncertainty for the girls and the suspense builds as the girls disappear one by one.

The Cinema City International Film Festival is dedicated to helping talented young film makers find their place in film making. CCIFF provides grants to the most promising projects.
