The Motorola Ojo Makes Its Debut as a Television Star With The Assistance of Creative Entertainment Services

Motorola has launched the Ojo, its new personal video phone, with a nationwide promotional and product placement effort in conjunction with the season premiere of Foxs 24." The Ojo was widely promoted and received placement in 24" with the assistance of Creative Entertainment Services, a Los Angeles based entertainment marketing agency representing Motorola.

The Ojo has made its debut as the new star" in the fourth season of 24," along with an appearance at the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Ojos introduction also included a nationwide radio promotion leading up to the season premiere of 24" and a special dual segment on NBCs Extra."

The Ojo was widely promoted and received placement in 24" with the assistance of Creative Entertainment Services, a Los Angeles based entertainment marketing agency representing Motorola. According to Creative Entertainment Services Vice President Stacy Jones, Productions have been extremely receptive to showcasing the Ojos high-tech look and capabilities within program content. Traffic and chatter on the Internet have shown fans are definitely taking notice of this hot new product." Creative Entertainment Services has worked with production teams to incorporate the video phone naturally into the programs and educate production on its capabilities.

The Motorola Ojo made its television debut in Foxs 24," where it has been established on the desks of members of the Counter Terrorism Unit. The Ojo can be spotted for its unique shape and clear video imaging as the characters use the video phone to ease communication within the office. In a recent episode Aisha Tyler, who plays Marianne Taylor," utilized the Ojo to communicate her findings to a superior in an ongoing investigation. The Ojo will also be used in upcoming feature films and television programs, including Alias," The Bernie Mac Show," and The King of Queens."

Motorola simultaneously debuted the Ojo at the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. In addition, Motorola and Fox kicked off 24"s fourth season with a radio promotion, the 24 Season Premiere Radio Sweepstakes." Radio stations across the country aired a five-day promotion awarding Motorolas daily prize, a Motorola m25 Digital Audio Player, 24" gear, and Season 3 24" DVD sets, with a chance to qualify for the grand-prize pair of Motorola Ojo Personal Video Phone with activation and six months of free service. The sweepstakes aired in the nations top 20 markets in the days leading up to 24s" season premiere and will continue in the spring in conjunction with the season finale.

The final part of the promotion was featured on NBCs Extra," one of the nations top entertainment news programs. In a segment which aired January 31st, Extra" host Dayna Devon stated that the stunning Aisha Tyler is shaking things up this season on '24 and she brings some of her high-tech gadgets to 'Extra like Motorolas new Ojo Videophone." The segment featured an interview with 24" star Aisha Tyler over the Ojo video phone with Extras entertainment correspondent Jerry Penacoli. Jerry stated that he believed this is the very first interview to be conducted via video phone," as he spoke with Ms. Tyler about her role on 24" and her career, as well as the Motorola Ojo and how it was incorporated into the show. The upcoming Extra" segment will feature an interview with Motorolas Corporate Vice President and General Manager John Burke, which was filmed at the 2005 International Consumer Electronics Show. Mr. Burke describes how the Ojo allows him to stay in touch with his family, especially since he is always on the road for work. Mr. Burke goes on to demonstrate the Ojo with a call to his young daughter.
