Students win scholarship money from CKSF FBI Scholarship, Black History Scholarship

(PRWEB) February 9, 2005 -- As students wait for college admissions letters to roll in, what better way is there to spend their time than earning scholarship money to use at the school of their choice? And after all of the essays theyve written and transcripts theyve sent, the Common Knowledge Scholarship is a welcome sight, requiring nothing other than a little bit of everyday wisdom.

CKSF gives students the unique opportunity to earn scholarship money while the pressure is off," said CKSF President Daryl Hulce. All they need is Internet access, a little bit of time and some common knowledge."

FBI Common Knowledge Scholarship

CKSF worked with the FBI and created questions for an online scholarship based on the FBI Web site. The contest is divided into four rounds, with each of the four weekly quizzes featuring new questions about the FBI. The quiz begins each Monday in February and ends each Friday, with a $500 scholarship awarded to the winner each week.

Black History Common Knowledge Scholarship

This scholarship features weekly quizzes with questions about black history. Each Tuesday in February a new quiz begins, with the quiz period ending Thursday of the same week. Each of the winners of the four weekly quizzes will be awarded a $250 scholarship prize.

But remember, if you dont write a thank-you letter, you cannot win a scholarship. CKSF requires that every participant write a thank-you note to the sponsor of the scholarship in which he or she participates.

The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization administered at Nova Southeastern Universitys Fischler School of Education in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. For more information on the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation, visit http://www.cksf.org.
