Woodward Goes With BCPs Accord Again

Jeremy Woodward, former MD of the highly successful Woodward Foodservice company, has demonstrated his belief in Accord by investing in a complete Accord -- Distribution solution, from UK solutions provider BCP, for H & S Openshaw Ltd, the Bolton based foodservice wholesaler of which he is now Managing Director.

Stockport, UK (PRWEB) February 10, 2005 -- Jeremy Woodward, former MD of the highly successful Woodward Foodservice company, has demonstrated his belief in Accord by investing in a complete Accord -- Distribution solution, from UK solutions provider BCP, for H & S Openshaw Ltd, the Bolton based foodservice wholesaler of which he is now Managing Director.

The investment follows Openshaws recent acquisition by the Big Fish Group, operated by Jeremy Woodward, ex Iceland Chief Executive Malcolm Walker and Icelands former Finance Director Tarsem Dhaliwal.

One of the UKs largest independent fish distributors, Openshaws has been supplying fresh fish, seafood, game and poultry to the catering trade across the north west of England and Wales for more than 100 years. Clients include Salfords Lowry Hotel, Manchesters Restaurant Bar and Grill and the Living Room chain.

BCP (Business Computer Projects Ltd) is one of the UKs leading suppliers of specialist Supply Chain solutions to the Food and Drink Wholesale industry.

The Openshaw system, which will be implemented during April, covers the complete Accord solution - including Purchasing, Sales Order Management, Stock Control, Telesales and Financial Accounting.

A key element in securing the contract was BCPs food and drink industry background and their recognised position as a leading supplier of solutions to the foodservice market, with other clients in this sector including Woodward Foodservice, Holmes Catering, Musgrave and T Quality.

Jeremy Woodward built up the Woodward Foodservice business from a small family company in North Wales to a national food service operation with a turnover exceeding 100m. He believes the Accord solution, implemented at Woodwards in the early1990s and still in use there, played a significant part in the companys dramatic growth: Powerful IT is critical to success in the highly competitive food service market. Accord delivers proven capabilities which are second to none. The Telesales and Service Level Reporting features -- both vital to food service operators -- are particularly powerful and I have no doubt that Accord will help us successfully grow the Openshaw business and extend its geographical reach."
