Chelmsford, MA (PRWEB) February 9, 2005 -- Optelec, the worlds largest provider of innovative solutions for the blind and visually impaired, announced today the appointment of Jeff Ermold as Director of Product Support for their Blindness division.
Ermold joins the Optelec team with a stellar mix of technical support and sales experience. Blind from birth, Ermold served as technical support manager for Blazie Engineering, providing technical grounding and surety for a market inundated with the pioneer line of Blazie notetakers. He seamlessly made the transition from technical support to product sales when he joined Freedom Scientific as its Mid-Atlantic regional sales manager as well as its manager of Government sales. Most recently, Ermold has served as Program Manager for Integration Technologies Group, a Virginia based company, which provides adaptive technological solutions to various Federal agencies.
Optelec's Blindness Division is staunchly committed to giving consumers greater freedom, flexibility, and affordability with consumer electronics products that will meet their daily needs, as well as keeping them connected and up to date with the ever improving mainstream technology market," stated Ermold. As a user of blindness technology, I along with millions of others will no longer have to settle for retrofitted or proprietary technologies that lack the features, portability, and affordability that sighted consumers have had available to them for years. It is extremely rewarding to join a team of professionals who are truly committed to keeping their fingers on the pulse of their market and delivering what their customers need in order to make daily tasks easier and more efficient."
I have yet to meet anyone who has successfully parleyed technical know-how and salesman ship into the consummate professional who weve found in Jeff," states Larry Lewis, Vice President of Optelecs Blindness Division. His plethora of incomparable talents gives Optelec a great deal of flexibility in leveraging his contributions to best serve its market with some additional product offerings to be announced in the coming weeks."
Ermold officially joins the Optelec team on February 14 marking the first of many exciting announcements on the road to the CSUN 2005 Conference to be held at the Marriott LAX and Hilton Hotels, March 16-20.
