Watersweb Announces Server Hardware Upgrade

Watersweb Solutions LLC, an Enid, Oklahoma hosting and ecommerce provider, announced today its move from a shared hosting environment to a dedicated server. Customer's websites will be relocated to the new server by the end of February.

(PRWEB) February 12, 2005 -- Watersweb Solutions LLC, an Enid, Oklahoma hosting and ecommerce provider, announced today its move from a shared hosting environment to a dedicated server. Customer's websites will be relocated to the new server by the end of February.

"We have recently experienced some downtime as a result of high server loads," said www.watersweb.net owner, Michelle Waters. "Our sites were hosted on a server with 500 other sites, resulting in noticable slowness."

After the move, only Watersweb client sites will reside on the server, which features a Intel Celeron 2.4, Red Hat Linux operating system, Apache web server, two 80 GB IDE hard drives, Cpanel control panel and 512 MB RAM. The server will be housed in a secure datacenter in Jacksonville, Florida, providing redundant, uninterruptible power system; redundant temperature and humidity controls; dry fire suppression system; multi-layer, redundant configuration network; and backup generator industry standard security systems.

"Watersweb is constantly reevaluting the services it provides its clients," said Amie Nguyen, the owner of Earth Friendly Goods, a Tulsa-based natural goods company. "This switch to a new server is another great move that helps companies like mine succeed."

Long time client and business associate Vicki Schmitz, senior partner of Midnight Markups, a professional editing and writing service near Ann Arbor, MI, says the move is not unexpected.

"The move to a dedicated server is an excellent business decision for Watersweb, and for its clients," Schmitz said. The level of service and dedication to customer satisfaction is unparalleled at Watersweb. I spent two years moving from host to host before finding Watersweb. No other company has treated me with the courtesy and patience that it has. Michelle is great to work with, and I couldn't be more pleased."

Watersweb clients will also have the opportunity to resell webspace on the dedicated server. Resellers will be allowed to purchase hosting packages at a discounted rate, then set their own rates for their clients.

Watersweb offers multiple hosting, ecommerce and web design packages via several sites, including www.pixelemporium.com, a web template site; www.waterswebshops.com, which caters to home-based and small ecommerce business owners; and www.dotcomfamily.com, a new site focused on providing support, information and resources to home business owners and their families. Waters opened her company in 2002 as Watersweb Designs. She previously worked as a small city reporter in central Oklahoma, but left reporting to have her son in March 2000.

The company's portfolio includes Enid. OK business www.angeldelightcandies.com, a new candy making, baking and catering company; www.heirloomcreationsonline.com, a Lafayette, LA fabric shop and www.bighousefx.com, a Toronto, Canada special effects company.
