Bored? FreeIndie Media Launches iBored.Com

FreeIndie Media launches a social media website for bored web surfers.

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 18, 2009

FreeIndie Media, an NYC-based company, has welcomed iBored.Com to their growing family of web properties.

Combining both in-house editorial and user-submitted content, iBored provides a constantly updated feed of articles, images, videos and links, tracking offbeat trends in web and pop culture. Bored web surfers can participate with the website's online community by commenting on items, submitting links and creating original articles.

"There's an overwhelming supply of creative, independently produced content online," says product manager Mike Frankel. "Our mission is to deliver quality, targeted items while providing our users with a canvas to express themselves. Many social media sites cast a wide net, providing broad, unfocused content for an eclectic audience. When a user visits iBored, he knows exactly what to expect - easily digestible entertainment."

In March, iBored kicks off their "Contributor Compensation" initiative, encouraging users to contribute content in exchange for cash rewards. iBored joins their parent company's flagship website, FreeIndie.Com, a blog-style directory of free, legal music.
