eyefortransport Launches the 3rd North American 3PL Awards -- Voting Now Open

Each year the eyefortransport 3PL Awards aim to recognize those 3PLs that continuously deliver excellence in logistics operations and superior service to their customers. We take pride in preciding over an awards voting process that accurately reflects the views of 3PL users by putting them on the judging panel - rather than a set of 'experts'. The awards are decided on by the manufacturers and retailers who depend upon and work with logistics service providers everyday.

These awards take on a special significance, and the winners can feel confident in the knowledge that their customers have chosen them as best of breed partners in supply chain excellence. This year the Awards are proudly co-sponsored by Penton Media's Outsourced Logistics.

The votes for the 3PL awards are open from now on and will be closed on May 1st 2009. Manufacturers and suppliers are able to elect the 3PLs that deliver excellence in logistics operations and superior service to them on a daily basis. The ceremony will take place as part of the 7th 3PL Summit on June 23rd 2009 at the InterContinental Buckhead Hotel, Atlanta, and will recognize outstanding service in the following catergories:

3PL Offering for Retail Goods
3PL Offering for Industrial Supply Chain
3PL Offering for Hi-Tech + Electronics
3PL Offering for the Automotive Industry
3PL Offering for Pharma, Chemical + HazMat
3PL Offering for Consumer Goods
3PL Offering for Fresh Food Supply Chains
Best 3PL Offering for Sustainability

The top three 3PLs with the largest number of votes in each of these 9 categories will be shortlisted on May 5th - voting will then re-open and the 3PL with the most votes in each category will be announced as the winner during the awards ceremony.
